Sharon is an 8th grader at our Mawewa Primary School who loves Math. Despite coming from a family that often struggles with food insecurity and to make ends meet, 2024 has been a year filled with new adventures and achievements.
In 2024, Sharon has been an active member of our student body, sharing her keen mind with her fellow students in class, and her love for netball on the field. Sharon recently participated with some of her fellow students at a debate competition held at Amref International University in Nairobi, where she had the opportunity to showcase her debate skills, and help our school achieve a 1st place in the first round, and 8th place overall.
Sharon also recently had the opportunity to visit the Olkaria Power Plant, which is the first geothermal power plant in Africa, with her fellow students. As they explored the plant and its surrounding areas, Sharon had the opportunity to experience the wonders of creation coupled with man's innovation. Sharon sat for her final primary school exams and is hopeful for good grades as she anticipates joining High School at the beginning of 2025.
Sharon recently completed her final year at our Mawewa Primary School which was made possible by generous givers who committed to fully sponsor her every month for a whole year. This student sponsorship meant eduKenya was able to continue to provide Sharon with a high quality Christ centered education throughout the year, while preparing her for the rigors of high school to come.
Unlike Sharon, there remain many of our students who are not yet sponsored. Like 9 year old Cynthia, who loves Math and jumping rope with her friends, or 10th grader Bernard, who loves football and dreams of one day becoming an Intelligence Officer.
Would you consider making the commitment to sponsor a student $108 every month for the year 2025 today?
