Our Kenya leadership team recently marked a joyous occasion, a short handover ceremony, marking the end of our initial phase of development of our land in Mitaboni, which is the future home of Chelezo High School.
The completion of the fencing and borehole drilling stands as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and unwavering support of everyone involved. By the end of this month, we eagerly anticipate the mounting of water tanks, a crucial step that will pave the way for farming and tree planting on the site. These developments are more than just physical structures— they represent opportunity and growth.
They are the fruition of many years of hard work and sacrifice of our partners, and the beginnings of a new phase of eduKenya’s service to the children of Mathare.
We are deeply grateful for the progress that God has enabled us to make. Each milestone in this journey reflects His provision and the generosity of givers like you, who share our vision of transforming lives through Christ-centered education.
The fenced land now secures a space where young minds will thrive, the borehole promises clean water to sustain our students, staff and farming. As we look ahead, the next steps fill us with excitement and anticipation.
With water tanks in place, Chelezo High School’s site will not only support academic growth in the future, but also continue to support our feeding program right now with more maize harvests, and even more vegetables, supporting young healthy strong minds and bodies at our schools.
We invite you to join us in praying for our building project in Mitaboni, celebrating each victory, and continuing to support the mission of eduKenya as we build not just a school, but a thriving community for generations to come.
