Mawewa School Construction UpdateThe new Mawewa School building is nearing completion and the construction crew has been hard at work to put on the finishing touches (see photos below):

• Stairs: Reinforcement to handle scores of active children treading upon them.
• Washrooms: Installation of commodes and tile on the walls.
• Classrooms: Paint in colors chosen by teachers.
• Classrooms: Installation of blackboards, whiteboards and bulletin boards.
• Large school hall: Insert windows and paint.
• Exterior: Complete plastering
• Exterior: Place razor wire atop the perimeter wall and install gate.

The customized school should be ready by week's end and teachers/staff will start moving classrooms, offices, and auxiliary departments. In September, our students will return to a new school home and enjoy room enough for all![caption id="attachment_2589" align="aligncenter" width="565"]
