Kenya Vision Team

Danny Mutisya

Danny works as an Associate at the law firm of Clifford Chance in London , and previously served as Senior Associate at Hamilton Harrison & Mathews in Nairobi. He earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center. Danny enjoys many sports, including football, basketball and rugby, as well as frequenting the theater.

Titus Mumo

Titus is the Managing Director at Africabs Tours Ltd, a company that offers corporate travel, tours and safaris services. Titus has previous experience as a branch manager at a telecommunications company at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Titus has a diploma in information technology and is currently pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurship at Strathmore University.

Peninah Semenye

Peninah is the Founder and CEO of Wonderful Child Foundation, a fundraising organization that provides health care for children living in extreme poverty and purchases equipment for Kenyatta National Hospital’s neonatal and pediatric units. Peninah is active in acquiring donated items for children’s homes and she owns a clothing boutique that sells African wear. Peninah has a higher diploma (Associate’s Degree) in Counseling Psychology, a higher diploma in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management, and will soon complete a degree in Business Management. Peninah is the mother of three boys, Kwami, Kofi and Tevin.

Bob Kikuyu

Bob co-founded eduKenya and serves as the Kenya Executive Director. He is also the Senior Pastor of Lifespring Chapel, a church plant of Nairobi Chapel where he has served since 2004. He previously worked for five years with Campus Crusade for Christ, for Nairobi Chapel as the Worship Pastor and briefly with Compassion International. Bob has facilitated a partnership between Lifespring Chapel and Compassion International to provide education and healthcare for impoverished children in the Embakasi division of Nairobi, as well as a program to educate and provide discipleship for teenage girls in Embakasi.

Bob has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Arts in Mission Studies from the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. He is an ardent sports follower and played rugby at the top level in Kenya, once winning the East Africa school championship and twice winning the national club championship. Bob is married to Yoland Cherono and has three children, Sande, Ledama and Simbi. He is proud that his children are carrying on a legacy of love for music and athletics.




U.S. Vision Team

John Rosacker

John works as an Equities Trader at Great Point Capital in Austin, Texas. He earned a European History degree from Washington and Lee University. John helped co-found Arise Africa, an organization that works to improve education and nutrition in the slums of Lusaka, Zambia. He first visited Mathare in 2009 and was immediately drawn to the mission and structure of eduKenya. He is passionate about finding effective solutions to Kenya's unique economic challenges, and is motivated by the successes of the eduKenya model.

Doug Thomas

Doug is the founder and owner of Thomas Construction, Inc. in Grove City PA. Thomas Construction, Inc. has been doing business since 1984 and is considered one of the premier general contractors in Western Pennsylvania. Doug loves spending time with his kids and grandkids. He also enjoys flying whenever he gets the chance.

Bev Henry

Bev is retired from a career of teaching elementary students, working as a Youth Director and serving as Administrator for UrbanPromise Wilmington. She serves as an Elder at New London Presbyterian Church, sits on the Board of Directors for UrbanPromise and is active in Bible Study Fellowship. Bev holds a Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College and a Master of Religious Education from Wesley Theological Seminary. Bev is married to Dick Henry and has two daughters, Julie Hillhouse and Kim Medlin, and three grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca and Mia Grace.

Njeri Gould

Njeri is currently a stay-at-home mom. She previously served in the fields of human rights advocacy, advertising, television media and pastoral care in Nairobi. Njeri earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from USIU-Africa in Nairobi and a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Africa International University in Nairobi. Njeri enjoys spending time with people, pursuing justice and sharing knowledge. She is married to Adam Gould and has a daughter, Amani.

Tom Friedel

Tom serves as Business Manager for Thomas Construction. He previously worked as Finance Director for Davis Archway, Business Manager and Associate Financial Representative for Gould Financial Services, owner of Double Three Transportation and Assistant Dean of Students at the University of New Mexico.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Ripon College and a Master of Arts in Higher Education from Bowling Green State University. He is passionate about seeking truth and believes that acting on our knowledge of the truth is one of the most important things we can do. Tom is married to Kathie Friedel and has had assorted dogs and cats.

Steve Gould

Steve serves as a Financial Advisor with the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. He has worked in financial advising for over 30 years, and previously spent five years in college administration at Ripon College. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College and a Master of Arts from Bowling Green State University. He also holds the professional designations of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) from the American College of Financial Services. Steve enjoys spending time with family, running, mentoring and visiting the beach at Ocean City, NJ.

Steve is married to Sherrie Gould and has two children, Adam Gould and Emilie Goggans. He is a proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Ella, Sophie, Liam, and Amani.

Adam Gould

Adam co-founded eduKenya and serves as the US Executive Director. Prior to founding eduKenya in 2010, Adam initiated the Kenya Children Project in 2006 in partnership with the Believers Centre Church in Mathare and Life in Abundance International. He worked full-time as a volunteer to launch the KCP, hosting vision trips in Kenya and traveling around the US to raise funding while sleeping on friends’ couches. After several years, Adam and Bob Kikuyu recognized the opportunity to leverage resources and duplicate the successful KCP model in other areas of the Mathare slum to facilitate the transformation of many more lives. eduKenya was founded to pursue this vision of transformation.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Youth Ministry and Master of Arts in International Development from Eastern University. He enjoys playing sports, spending time with family, traveling and cheering for Philadelphia sports teams. Adam is married to Njeri Gould and expecting their first child.
